Version 11 is the first version of CoPilot that works with Android Auto. Android Auto allows you to connect your Android smartphone to your vehicle's infotainment system and use your apps while driving.
The set-up for CoPilot is similar to any other apps you use with Android Auto.
Connect CoPilot to Android Auto
- Open CoPilot on your phone, and select your trip settings and stop locations, and start your trip. (This is best practice to avoid too much interaction with the vehicle's display while driving.)
- Connect your phone to the vehicle's display system with a USB cable.
- Follow your vehicle's instructions for how to launch Android Auto on your infotainment system.
- If CoPilot is open on your phone, it should automatically display in Android Auto. If not, select the CoPilot 11 icon from Android Auto's list of apps.
Once CoPilot opens in Android Auto, the navigation view on your phone closes and CoPilot displays only turn-by-turn directions.
